Suspect in murder of Walquer Vera is sentenced to preventive detention

The Colombian A. E. R. A., alleged perpetrator of the murder of the elected mayor of Muisne, Walquer Vera Guerrero, arrived yesterday to Esmeraldas under strict norms of security by air.

The suspect was arrested last Saturday on the exterior of a shopping center in Guayaquil. Yesterday, he entered to the Attorney´s office around 11:20 and was protected with flak jacket and helmet to prevent any aggression against him.

The hearing was held at 14:00, and the Attorney linked A. E. R. A. to the crime of murder. At the meeting, the Second Judge of Criminal Guarantees of Esmeraldas, Rocío Avila Cox, issued the preventive detention.

 In addition, the citizen G. X. P. C. was linked to the resolution, he accompanied the Colombian suspect at the time of the crime.
