The best of gastronomy is exhibited at the Mercado del Río in Guayaquil
Ecuadornews:

The popular music of Guayaquil opened on Thursday the opening ceremony of the Mercado del Río. Between applauses, Mayor Jaime Nebot was received along with Deputy Mayor Doménica Tabacchi and the rest of the authorities in the new gastronomic space that is offered at the Malecón Simón Bolívar.
Mayor Jaime Nebot told the audience that “those who know the new Mercado del Río will see that it is better than San Miguel (Madrid).” He added that he is pleased to deliver this work to the city on behalf of all, and that he is sure that Guayaquil will continue on the path that must continue.
On the other hand, Nicolás Romero, director of the gastronomic consortium, considered that in these 10 months it has been possible to select extraordinary restaurants in different categories. “The mission of Mercado del Río is to create economic spaces for our guests,” he added.
The event also counted with the presence of those who felt the curiosity of being in the place. On the outside of the pier, they showed up in the enclosure with cell phones in hand, trying to capture the moment. They were looking forward to the time to visit this space and taste the variety of dishes.

Before the inauguration, at 16:30 this Thursday, Guayaquil residents arrived with the expectation of being able to observe the inauguration of the Rio market; although this was not for the entire public, they knew that today was the opening of the place.
Patricia Matías, who was walking in the sector, said she was looking forward to the weekend to go with her grandchildren. “I always pass by here and from what I have been able to see, the place will be attracted by the public and more than anything by tourists,” she said.
Like Matías, the rest of the people who passed by the place wanted this space to be open to taste the variety of food it would offer, while they spend a pleasant time with family and friends.

The runs through the courtyards of the new gastronomic center of Guayaquil, bringing chairs, trying to locate them in their stalls, as well as the setting of the music, and the going and becoming of the workers, finalizing the details of the premises, was the tone of this Thursday moments before the inauguration.
This gastronomic space will open its doors to the general public starting at 10:00 on Friday. From Sunday to Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. And on Fridays and Saturdays, from 10:00 to 00:00. (I)
