The photographs taken by the police of the site dotted with blood, during the investigation of the murder of Reeva Steenkamp, who died from gunshots wounds caused by Oscar Pistorius, were altered evidence, said the defender of the Olympic and Paralympic athlete.
According to the lawyer Barry Roux, the authorities spoiled the investigation, an accusation made by the own Pistorius at the beginning of the trial, when he pleaded innocent. Roux examined thoroughly many of the photos taken by the official Van Staden and other police, pointing out objects on the site of the crime that were moved, because they were in different positions in the photos. Prosecutors accuse Pistorius of intentionally killing Steenkamp after an argument.
