The eldest woman of the world celebrates 116 years

Misao Okawa, officially the eldest women in the world, celebrates this Wednesday her 116th birthday in a japanese retirement home with a cake and candles.

The Mayor of the city, Takehiro Ogura, visited her earlier this week and gave her a bouquet of flowers.
The employee of the nursing home said that “she always says that the secret of long life is to have a good meal and rest”.
Okawa, born in 1898, last year received a certificate from the Guinness World Records institution confirming that she was the eldest woman in the world.
