Posted On 19 Apr 2016
Concerts, launchings and plays, among other events planned for this week, were suspended because of the regulation of mass shows in the country, issued on Saturday 16 by Vice President Jorge Glas because of the 7.8 degrees earthquake that shook Ecuador. The regulation will end tomorrow, but institutions like the House of Ecuadorian Culture and the Teatro Nacional Sucre Foundation will close their doors throughout April. The organization staff of the Marc Anthony (April 23, Guayaquil) and Mana (27, Guayaquil, and 30, Quito) shows has not yet defined whether these events will resume, since they held meetings yesterday and until the close of this edition, they did not give official statements.
The Factory Foundation announced that the opening of its Diversities Park, will be held on April 19 from 09:00. According to Nathaly Freire, spokeswoman of Factory, this event was not suspended because “it’s a small act: the open-air mass in memory of the victims and the words of Mayor Mauricio Rodas.”
