The government presents a fair to boost national tourism

Tuesday, the Government presented a fair project focused on domestic tourism, designed to motivate Ecuadorians to “fall in love again” with the tourist beauties of “the country of the four worlds.” “Thanks to its location, you can do tourism in Ecuador throughout the year, which is one of the potentialities of the country,” said Tourism Minister Enrique Ponce de León during the presentation of the Great Tourist Fair of Ecuador.
The initiative has the backing of both public institutions and the country’s tourism industry (hotels, airlines, tourist transport, among others), and seeks to generate an immediate and short-term reaction of Ecuadorians, to encourage them to travel 365 days a year, with affordable prices and offers. With this project, the Ministry seeks to break seasonality, in order to generate a greater economic dynamism. (I)
