The nine-year term of President Rafael Correa have had political moments that generated unrest in various sectors of the Ecuadorian society. Bills, corruption scandals and reactions to policies and the process adopted to reform the state, are among the main causes.
The Head of State postponed some decisions like the Water Act and the recent bill of Inheritance and Capital Gains. In other cases he created commissions and delegated to people he trusted to investigate, as it happened with the ‘Big Brother’ case. (I)
