The Razzies: The Least Wanted Hollywood Awards

Hollywood not only rewards the best but also the worst of the film industry. A golden plastic raspberry on a film roll sprinkled with gold paint is the trophy given on the Razzie Awards, which were created in 1980 by the film critic and writer, John Wilson.

The Razzies are celebrated every year in the Oscar’s eve; the cast of the Twilight saga swept the nominations this year.

Among the nominees for the worst movie of the year areThe Bounty Hunter, The Last Airbender, Sex and the City 2, Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Vampires Suck, and their respective directors. Sylvester Stallone was nominated for worst director for The Expandables.

Among the nominees for worst actor are Jack Black for his role in Gulliver’s Travels, Gerard Butler by The Bounty Hunter, Ashton Kutcher by Killers and Valentine’s Day, Taylor Lautner byTwilight Saga: Eclipse and Valentine’s Day, and Robert Pattinson by Remember Me andTwilight Saga:Eclipse.

The worst actresses have also been nominated, including: Jennifer Aniston by The Bounty Hunter and The Switch, Miley Cyrus by The Last Song, Megan Fox by Jonah Hex, Kristen Stewart by Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and the main cast of Sex and the City 2: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon have been nominated as well.

Most of the nominees do not attend the ceremony, but others receive their awards with humor like Bill Cosby, Tom Selleck, Sandra Bullock and Halle Berry who posed with her Oscar and Razzie.

The Razzies ceremony will be held on February 26, the same day the Academy Awards are celebrated.
