The United States donates two mobile hospitals to Ecuador for emergency care
The Government of the United States, in conjunction with the Southern Command, the Consulate General and the Security Cooperation office, delivered two mobile clinics to the National Government for the care of people in case of emergencies.
The units were delivered this Wednesday to the National Risk and Emergency Service at the facilities of the Special Operations Group (GOE) of the National Police, in the northwest of Guayaquil.
The American technical team provided training to Ecuadorian personnel so that they learn about the use, assembly, disassembly and transportation of donated hospitals.
These units have a value of more than $ 750,000 dollars, have electric air conditioning systems, sinks and 40 beds each.
The infrastructure will be in charge of the National Service for Risk and Emergency Management, as an indispensable tool in situations of disasters and catastrophic emergencies, said Rommel Salazar, head of that State Portfolio.
During the pandemic, the US government has provided other donations of non-perishable food, biosecurity equipment, masks and other supplies. (I)
