Truckers strike in Colombia is affecting the trade with Ecuador

The strike of truck drivers continues in Colombia, where the reduction of fuel prices, the non existence of tolls on Colombian roads and the replacement of new vehicles based on a process of scrapping is demanded.
This March 15, 19 days of strike, decreed in the neighboring country were fulfilled. The measure affects international trade with Ecuador.
It is estimated that in the Ecuadorian side, in the Carchi province, there are about 800 trucks affected by the measure.
In the international bridge Rumichaca There are no drawbacks, but over the Colombian territory drivers face the agression by demonstrators.
