On next December 5 the presidents of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur for its Spanish acronym) will meet in Quito to inaugurate the headquarters of the organization, said Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño on last Friday.

The leaders are planning to hold a summit that day during the entry into operation of the modern building. Unasur headquarters occupies 19 km2 and its construction cost $ 37 million.
