Unesco program aims at quality education
Unesco launched the website ETHICAL to combat corruption in education systems, through a database that compiles the latest research on this problem.
The portal aims to help training experts to prevent cases of fake diplomas, disappeared school materials, absent teachers or incorrect attribution of scholarships, among other things, said Unesco through a release.
“It is estimated that corruption subtracts billions to the system and for that reason many children do not receive the education to which they are entitled as a result of malpractice and serious gaps in ethics in the system,” explained researcher Muriel Poisson.
Such measures, concludes, “play a decisive role in the fight against corruption” in schools and are indispensable tools for the fulfillment of the Education Program for All, a commitment that aims to provide quality basic education for children, young people and adults.
