United States celebrates Thanksgiving and welcomed holiday season
The intense cold that the United States is currently living, is not enough to spoil the party that American citizens are living through the celebration of Thanksgiving Day.
Like all years, every last Thursday of November millions of Americans give thanks for the year received by representing an outstanding family meal by other traditional dishes like turkey and pumpkin pie.
This celebration begins in the colonial era, when pilgrims from England held a dinner to celebrate the collaboration between them and the American Indians, who taught them to cultivate the land. That day was invited to sit at his table and share a turkey.
Other traditional activities performed on this day is the parade of giant balloons by Macy’s as part of the Festival of Thanksgiving Day in New York. However, strong winds from a winter storm hesitated before the possible cancellation of the parade.
