Vatican and Discovery Channel will Premiere a TV Show about Exorcism
Discovery Channel is making a new TV series that will be called “The Exorcist Files” with topics on real cases of exorcisms that the church has done.
For this project, the TV station have had access to all Vatican archives; Discovery Channel will present all the places and people that have been “possessed” by demons and have been exorcised. The media also had the opportunity to interview experts in exorcism that rarely shows out in the media.
Discovery Channel’s president, Clark Bunting, said that at first he was skeptical; however, after talking with experts from the Vatican he was convinced. “The work that these people do and the conviction in their beliefs make fascinating stories.”
If the first season success, the channel expects that its partnership with the Church progress and allow Discovery to join the researchers in their work with current cases.
At the moment the premiere date is unknown, but its debut would be at the Spring.
