During the VI Summit of the Americas, the United States president, Barack Obama described U.S.-Latin America ties as “one of the world’s most dynamic trade relationships.”
Obama said that, “For the Americas, this is a moment of great promise. And I believe if we seize the opportunities before us, we’ll continue to be each other’s economic partners of choice.” The message was to tell the gathering of CEOs during the Saturday morning meeting.
The North American president is under pressure in Colombia to show that he is committed in engaging with Latin American and to work together in regional issues like drug trafficking and violence. (AV)
