Jaime Nebot, Mayor of Guayaquil greeted with the Pope Francisco

The mayor of Guayaquil, Jaime Nebot, traveled to the Vatican to attend a hearing  where he  greeted Pope Francisco, at the St. Peter Square.

Nebot traveled with his wife, Cynthia Bohrer. Vice-mayor, Domenica Tabacchi, is now replacing Nebot.

According to a statement from the City Hall, the mayor took leave without pay from April 15 to May 2, to take care of  personal issues.
