North Korea presents conditions for dialogue with South Korea and the U.S.
On Thursday, North Korea made a list of conditions in order to resume talks with its southern neighbor and the United States. Among its points is the withdrawal of UN sanctions and termination of joint maneuvers US-South Korea.
“If the enemies United States and South Korea (…) really want dialogue and negotiations should take such measures,” said the North Korean National Defense Commission in a statement.
Earlier, the UN secretary general, Ban Ki-Moon on Wednesday urged North Korea to “seriously” consider resume talks with Seoul about the future of the closed Kaesong Industrial Zone. Issue that came after North Korea blocked access to Kaesong, in its territory at 10 km. of the border, since April 3 because of the growing tensions of a possible nuclear attack.
