The process of the law against corruption stagnates

Ecuadornews:
The major surgery on corruption does not take off. The Legislature adopted a resolution in June to reach that aim, but so far, it has not complied with its promise.
Homero Castañer, CREO Legislator, believes that the results of major surgery to corruption are zero. In Ecuador, “corruption is concealed, and bribes considered private agreements,” he regretted. According to Castañer, an inconsequential resolution was passed, a fugitive comptroller was tried, and the government majority shielded the interpellation against Jorge Glas.
The most corrupt countries
The Transparency International report of 2016 notes that the least corrupt countries in the world are New Zealand and Denmark. In Latin America, the least corrupt are Uruguay and Chile, while the most corrupt are Haiti and Venezuela. Ecuador ranked 120th out of 176 countries. (I)
