$ 107,000, investment in preventive campaigns against drug use in Guayaquil

This is one of the contracts that the council signed in 2017 to comply with the ordinance prohibiting the consumption of drugs on public roads and provides that the municipality will allocate permanent resources in its annual budget for the prevention of this problem.

This year, the council has not made investments for the dissemination of anti-drug campaigns, according to the Sercop. In 2017, within the $ 6.6 million that the municipality allocated for dissemination, communication and advertising, $ 107,289 was included to disseminate anti-drug messages. There are two contracts, one awarded last September to Diego Pazmiño, brother of a communications employee of the Municipality of Guayaquil; Another contract was assigned in December to Fundación Acción en Desarrollo Social, for $ 8,499, for talks to parents and teachers.

The council also allocated $ 40,000, through an agreement approved by the Cantonal Council in September prior to Cinthia García, delegate of the University of Guayaquil (2017), for shows and preventive talks, such as the one held last month at the citadel the FAE and that counted on the presence of the mayoral candidate, Cynthia Viteri.
