Posted On 22 Nov 2012
The Minutes of Meetings of the tripartite body made up of a workers’ representative, an employer’s and one from the Ministry of Labour Relations, revealed that the National Wages Council (CONADES for its Spanish acronym), established the salary increase percentages in 20 of 22 branches of production.
This document sets out the minimum increases for workers in the lowest and highest ranks of each production area.
Pablo Serrano, representing workers at the CONADES said that decisions were taken unanimously and that the only thing missing was the signature of the Act (each table was also attended by representatives of the various economic sectors).
