2000 copies of the Communications Law
The publication in the Official Registry of the Communications Law was pending for today, as the legal body text would have arrived yesterday in the afternoon. The Director of Registry, Hugo del Pozo, confirmed the immediate publication of the text, which will be distributed in the course of this morning.
Del Pozo said the text was diagrammed before its arrival, so that the printing of 2000 copies must be an agile process. The official did not rule out new editions, depending on the requests and needs of users.

Fernando Merino, layout artist of the Official Registry, works on the diagramming of the Law.
With the publication and enforcement of this new law, a Council of Regulation and Development of Information and Communication shall be appointed in a month. This body will have legal personality and functional, administrative and financial autonomy.
In addition, the body, which must produce the regulations for the implementation of the law, will be integrated with a delegate from the Executive, the Ombudsman, the Council of Citizen Participation, the local self-government and the national councils of equality, but as the latter are not formed yet, the delegate will come from the Council on Children and Adolescents temporarily.
Furthermore, Assembly member Luis Fernando Torres (CREO-PSC) said he intends to present the constitutional claim against the Communications Law, sometime around these days, once the new legislation is published in the next few hours. The claim is against 15 or 17 items that talk about the right of free speech.
