2011 Panamerican Games: Ecuadorian Boxing goes to Semifinals

Yesterday, Ítalo Perea, Ecuadorian boxer, 18, assured the bronze medal for Ecuador by defeating the Dominican Republic Cristian Cabrera in the 2011 Panamerican Games. This victory classifies Perea to semifinals in more than 91 kilos.

Perea defeated Cabrera by 20-10 and said the fight “complicated a little” by the inevitable reaction of the Dominican Republic.

Now, the Ecuadorian boxer is confident of his next fight schedule tomorrow in which he will face Puertorican Gerardo Bisbal.
