Ecuadornews:
Irruptions in their offices or telephone calls with direct orders, or the filing of disciplinary proceedings against judges with arguments such as inexcusable error, manifest negligence, lack of motivation, among others.
According to the dismissed judges, the current Judicial Council – the administrative, supervisory and disciplinary body of the Judicial function whose president is Gustavo Jalkh – pressured the judges when they did not follow the instructions to issue judgments favorable to officials of the Executive during the government of former President Rafael Correa.
