500 policemen guarded Lenin Moreno’s appointment with businessmen

Posted On 12 Apr 2017
During the meeting of the president-elect Lenin Moreno and businesspeople, the communication and logistics team evacuated all the journalists, camera operators, and photographers from the Wyndham hotel.
The communicators were only present during the speeches prepared by Moreno and some representatives of employers’ associations.
However, during the evacuation two questions were heard, one about the so-called Capital Gains Law and another on the support the automotive assembler sector will receive in the production of electronic devices.
Moreno’s meeting with pro-government businesspeople was preceded by a massive police deployment, which included the access blockade to Puerto Santa Ana and Las Peñas. More than 500 agents guarded the security of the virtual president.
During an hour of speech, among other subjects, Moreno referred to the past elections. He said that the citizenship once again chose the continuity of the “honest” work made by President Rafael Correa and his work in the Vice-Presidency.
