788 million dollars were recollected with the safeguards in 2015

The Ecuadorian safeguard law, that implemented a tax in 2 961 products, will meet its one year of validity this Friday. The safeguards recollected 788 million dollars in 2015 by the Ecuadorian Treasury.

The safeguard implementation, imports fell in 2 243 million dollars last year, 32% less compared to 2014, according to Customs.

The products that recollected more money were food, clothing, printers, TV sets, shoes, furniture, and refrigerators. (I)
