Banana Director Simon Cañarte Passed away

Former Banana Director, Simon Cañarte, passed away yesterday due to a heart attack at 18:45. Cañarte was the Vice president of the National Association of Ecuadorian Banana, he also was a spokesman of the banana sector in front of the media.

Cañarte worked as an advisor for the Subsecretaria del Litoral del Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (Magap). The deceased was a renowned Agronomist that lent his services as a teacher at the Escuela Politecnica del Litoral (ESPOL).

This Friday, Simon Cañarte Teran will be mourned in the facilities of Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil.
