Theater and Dance Take Guayaquil City Starting Today

Nine groups of international actors and dancers will give a sample of performing arts at different locations in the port city at the XVI Festival of Performing Arts Guayaquil 2011.

The festival began today at 10:00 am in the forecourt of the Teatro Centro Cívico, with the performance of the French group Zo Prod called ‘Konstructors’, a reflection on the care of the environment. This group works with NGOs and recyclers, who help them get scrap metal (iron) in order to transform it into sculptures, a work of art.

Other scenarios will be the Teatro Centro de Arte, the ITAE facilities (in the experimental room of the institution) and Agora 2 at Malecón 2000. (BG)
