CNE Introduced 2013 Election Calendar

The call for general elections of 2013 will be on September 22 this year. In these elections president and vice president of the Republic will be elected, as well as national and provincial assembly members, mayors, prefects and other sectional officials.

The first round will be held on January 20th, 2013, while the second round, which will elect the 124 assembly members, will be held on March 3rd. Officials will begin their duties on May 24th of 2013, informed CNE’s vocal Fausto Camacho.

CNE also approved the budget for elections, $ 83 million, this value does not include advertising expenses.
