Barcelona debut in the tournament with win over Deportivo Cuenca

Yesterday Barcelona Sporting Club defeated Deportivo Cuenca by 3-1 at the Monumental Stadium, in the beginning of the 2012 Ecuadorian Championship.

Narciso Mina, 2011 scorer, marked two of the three goals that secured the victory to the “Canary Team”.

In the first half of the game, Barcelona started attacking. Holger Matamoros enabled Paul Lugüercio who opened added the first goal with his head.

Resuming the second stage, Byron Cano, from Deportivo Cuenca managed to score the equalizer. The defenders Matamoros (Barcelona) and Carlos Castro (Deportivo Cuenca) won paths expulsions.

Before the final whistle, Narciso Mina regained advantage to Barcelona after the pass of Michael Jackson Quiñonez, then take advantage of the Deportivo Cuenca defense and ended the match with a final score of 3-1.
