30S: Colonel Carrion Awaits Response from Police
On 25 June former director of Police Hospital, Colonel Cesar Carrion asked to be derecognized from the police staff as a result of a family decision.
During an interview in Ecuadoradio Colonel’s wife, Janeth Orbe, said that her family is tired of so many insults and accusations by President Correa, particularly made in his Saturdays Broadcasts. “We want peace so that we cannot be disturb” she said. “President Correa in two Saturdays Broadcasts has spoken in bad terms about my husband, he still considers him guilty. We are not doing good because of this situation, he cannot work in peace neither my children nor myself,” Orbe said in the interview.
The family hopes to have the police response in a month. On the possibility of traveling to Mexico, Colonel’s wife said her family is looking for stability, since the most important is the peace of the children.
Carrion, along with three other policemen, was indicted for allegedly attempting to murder during the uprising against Correa police on September 30, 2010. (FL)
