El Universo Case: Guayas Court of Justice to Decide whether to File or not Preliminary Investigation

Today Francisco Morales, President of Guayas Court of Justice, will decide whether to file or not the preliminary investigation of the so called “Chucky Seven” case, in which judge Juan Paredes is implicated for alleged forgery and ideological malfeasance against El Universo Journal after passing them a sentence of $ 40 million.

Today Morales will receive Joffre Campaña, El Universo’s attorney, who hopes to prove his hypothesis by arguments that Judge Paredes was not the one who wrote the judgment. Statements by Assemblyman Cesar Montufar are also expected today. (FL)
