Rafael Correa Hints About his Possible Presidential Candidature

The Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa, said that he has the full support of his family to launch himself to the re-election, although that decision belongs to his political movement. Correa confirmed that there a “high probabilities” that he becomes the next candidate.

“My family is supporting me with my Presidential candidature,” added Correa during an interview. The first electoral round would be on February 17 of 2013, if there is a second round it would be on April 7.

“I haven’t decided to postulate myself for the presidency that is the decision of AP (Movimiento Alianza Pais). There are high probabilities that they nominate me,” assured Correa in an interview with the Ecuadorian Association of Radio Broadcasting (AER for its Spanish acronym). AV
