More arrested for funds deviation in Ministry of Environment

The Eighth Court of Criminal Guarantees of Pichincha, attended the request of the prosecution that ordered the arrest of Diego Jarrin Guzman and Wilmer Perez Altamirano, about whom could be related to the deviation of $ 7.3 million from the Ministry of Environment.

Jarrin, an official of ECORAE and Perez, the late Iniap, joined the list of 52 defendants, 20 who already are in custody, 5 appear each week for alternate measures and 27 are fugitives.

Perez’s attorney, Marcos Llerena, regreted the court’s decision and said that his client is innocent, it was he who reported the use of unauthorized password for the deviation of the funds, according to the information collected in by El Universo newspaper.
