Return plan of Ecuadorian migrants from Spain has problems

The return plans proposed by the Ecuadorian government, provide transportation of household goods (including the vehicle) without paying taxes. However, this involves a significant payment from the people that decide to return because they do not have jobs or savings.

According to the data provided by the entity, a container costs between 2600 and 3800 euros. Companies that discharge into Guayaquil charge $ 500 extra and a Customs Agent receives about $ 600 per container, this also adds to transport to reach the destination. For many migrants who wish to return these numbers mean that they could not bring all their goods.

The drive back from Ecuadorian migrants living in Spain intensifies. The current economic crisis and unemployment push Ecuadorians to make a return trip. According to the INE, about 8,000 citizens have left the peninsula between January 1 2011 and the same date in 2012.
