National Assembly approved five laws in two months

In addition, four international treaties were ratified by the legislature, when it took office last May 14.

Laws for the Creation of canton La Concordia, Mining, Communication, the Amending of the Law on the Judiciary, and the Organization Act of the Fifth Estate, were adopted by the majority of votes of the Assembly.

The minority sectors have failed to link and therefore, there is no common legislative agenda. They argue that what the Assembly needs is a thoroughgoing debate.

In the upcoming months, the Assembly will discuss the new Criminal Code, the Code of Criminal, Code of Execution  of Sentences, reforms to civil proceedings, and the Labor Code. A second project will be also discussed urgently that will create the law for the Incentive to theProductive Sector.
