Newsprint paper to Daily “El Nacional” arrived to Venezuela

President editor of El Nacional, Miguel Henrique Otero, received this Friday in the headquarters of the daily in Caracas, newsprint coils sent by Andiarios coming from Colombia.

Miguel Henrique Otero indicated that a paper reel, which still has The National, will allow the circulation of the daily “until mid May” and with the new addition may be extended this deadline 15 days.

He described the event as “one solidarity step from Colombian newspapers” with Venezuelan print media. “This is a truly impressive gesture,” he added.

He explained that the situation in the country deserves this solidarity, because is “not justified in any way that there is no foreign exchange settlement for the Venezuelan independent newspapers, while pro-government newspapers have foreign exchange that they please.”
