The number of dead by the floods in Hiroshima, western Japan, remains at 39, while the missing people increase, rising to 51. The authorities today do not rule out that these numbers increase as they continue with the rescue.
Between 3,000 police, firefighters and members of the SDF have been devoted to rescue those affected. However, this work had to be suspended early this morning due to heavy rains in the area.
The Japan Meteorological Agency expects strong torrential rains and flood hazard in that area, between Friday and Saturday.
