The CPCCS does not accepts the protective action in the CNE contest

The protection action brought by Solanda Goyes was not accepted. Judge Raúl Atancuri, of the Fifth Trial Court of Transit, rejected this December 8 the measure that was intended to stop the contest of partial renewal of the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym).

Goyes is one of the aspirants to one of the two seats that will be renewed in the CNE and does not agree with the way how the Citizen Selection Commission (CCS for its Spanish acronym), of the Council for Citizen Participation (Cpccs for its Spanish acronym), described her file.

The Cpccs defense contended that the action of protection was not the relevant way to the case, that the judge was not a competent authority and the Commission can not be sued.
