System that replaces the SOAT began this month
Posted On 02 Feb 2015
From February 1, the National Transit Agency (ANT for its Spanish acronym) and the Fonsat (Fund of the Insurance for TrafficAccidents) began collecting values for the Public System for Traffic Accidents Payment (SPPAT), which replaces SOAT.
This item will be collected as an extra value in the registration and may be canceled at banks authorized by the SRI (Internal Revenue Service for its Spanish acronym). On the ANT website users will be able to check which banks are ready for this collection process. Likewise, when checking the registration users will see the additional value of that fee.
