Ombudsman asks the Secom to not dissolve Fundamedios

The Ombudsman, Ramiro Rivadeneira, made a call on Monday to the Secretary of Communication, Fernando Alvarado, to not continue with the process of dissolution of the NGO Fundamedios and strengthen the opportunities for dialogue with civil society organizations.
In a joint meeting with Alvarado and the president of the Regulatory Council of Information and Communication (Cordicom), Patricio Barriga, Rivadeneira assured that the Fundamedios case is the opportunity to expand and promote reflection spaces of rapprochement among society, civil organizations and the State for joint work “in favor of the common needs of the country.”
Through its Twitter account, Fundamedios hailed the intervention of the Ombudsman in its support.
