Pablo Arosemena: “The only doorbell we need is the one that opens the door to more freedoms”

“More freedom, less restrictions,” is the proposal of the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil, Pablo Arosemena, before the crisis in the Ecuadorian economy. “Retailers are convinced that Ecuador can overcome the crisis by changing the model of restrictions by one of freedom,” he said.

Arosemena said it is no longer a mystery to say that we are in economic recession but what has caused that we are as we are? Here are two possibilities: one: to say that is a matter of luck, that oil prices fell or the dollar has appreciated or two: we get serious and say what we are doing indoors. “We believe that the problem is indoors. The problem is the model based on restrictions, based on oil and that is what needs to be changed.”
