From judges to judged

18 months after having declared the invalidity of a process, former Criminal judge of Guayas Madeline Pinargote Valencia could switch roles: t from judge to judged.

The former official was called to trial by the National Court of Justice (CNJ), within a process that is substantiated against her for an alleged crime of prevarication. The nvestigation covered three other judges of the Provincial Court of Guayas, who were acquitted on Wednesday.

National judge Jorge Blum decided the judgment of Pinargote after partially host the accusatory opinion issued by state attorney general Galo Chiriboga against her and three other judges of the Special Criminal Chamber of Guayas.
