Assistant Secretary Cristina Rivadeneira announces her resignation from the Ministry of Tourism

Cristina Rivadeneira, through her Twitter account, sent a message in which she pointed textually: “I am sorry, as a mother and a daughter, my expressions did not seek to hurt anyone. I leave here my resignation to the Ministry of Tourism.”

The executive, in a declaration given to a German news agency during a Tourism Fair in Berlin, referred to the murder of the two Argentines in Montañita.

The polemic quote that led to her resignation was: “I am almost certain that these girls were in danger; what happened to them was a matter of time because they were hitchhiking… unfortunately, this happened in Montañita“. (I)
