Moreno delegates the Sectorial Council of Production and The Earthquake Reconstruction Committee to Glas

The ninth Executive Decree signed by Lenin Moreno on the night of May 24 assigns the specific functions Vice President Jorge Glas Espinel will fulfill during the new term.

Moreno delegated to Glas the direction of the Sectorial Council of Production, which focuses on the change of the productive matrix. He also delegated him the Committee for the Reconstruction of the areas affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016.

In the second term of Rafael Correa, which began in 2013, Glas, as vice president, was in charge of the strategic sectors. He also served as Minister Coordinator of Strategic Sectors before, however, according to the decree signed today by Moreno, he will not exercise those functions anymore.
