Online sales of air tickets to Guayaquil increased by 30%

According to figures from the Guayas Tourism Chamber, Guayaquil receives 2’400,000 tourists a year, 700,000 are foreign.
In 2016 the city received the merit of Leading Destination of South American Business Travel, awarded by the World Travel Awards. Between the first half of 2017 and the same period of 2016, sales of flights from abroad to Guayaquil increased by 30%. The most common countries of origin of tourists visiting the city are Chile, Argentina, the United States and Peru. (I)
