Director of the Market pollster Blasco Peñaherrera said this morning at a press conference that a study was conducted in Quito, Guayaquil, Manta, and Portoviejo, concerning the first 100 days of the government of President Lenin Moreno.
1,280 valid cases were included in the study conducted during the third week of August. The sample has a margin of error of 3% and gives this government the highest levels of acceptance recorded in the last 28 years.
On the perception of the country’s situation, 78.2% of respondents believe it is good, and only 21.8% believe that it is bad. Peñaherrera said that the figures give Moreno a substantial backing to make the necessary changes in the country.
84.4% of citizens believe in the word of President Moreno, while 83.7% trust in his leadership and 82.7% consider he is honest. “In all these years we had not recorded such high numbers,” he said. The expert notes that in contrast, Vice President Jorge Glas records low levels of acceptance with 83.9% of respondents who do not trust him. (I)
