A fair and a concert light up Guayaquil festivities

The festive atmosphere for the 197 years of independence of Guayaquil is enlivened from today with the opening of a fair, in the Convention Center.
The event will feature spaces to remember the history and traditions of the Main Port, of commerce and entertainment, and an area dedicated to gastronomy.
Another endemic event is the student civic parade that will be held on Monday, with 5,300 participants from civic brigades, music bands, dance academies and folk groups. (I)
