According to the figures of the National COE, until July 24, 13,449 cases were confirmed. Of that number, 12,157 were registered in Quito; The increase in cases is due to the fact that prevention standards are not respected.
In the last days, the agents of the Intendancy, together with the National Police and the Armed Forces, carried out controls in the strategic points of the seven parishes of Quito that register the greatest number of cases by covid-19.
In this way, 12 operations were executed in each one. Two stores were closed in Guamaní and Calderón, while Chillogallo and La Magdaleno, one.
According to the results released by the Mayor Daniela Valarezo , 99 events were suspended in the seven conflict points, organized outside the law, violating biosafety regulations. In the Historic Center 41 celebrations were canceled , while in La Magdalena there were 20 celebrations.
What caught the most attention this weekend was that of the number of suspended celebrations, most were graduation parties, warned Juan Zapata, director of ECU911.
The relatives of the students not only violated the curfew (05:00 to 21:00), but also celebrated their children without biosafety regulations, authorities explained.
