For the first time since the beginning of economic crisis, a majority of Ecuadorians (32% of respondents) states believe that “the main cause of the economic situation” is “bad administration of President Correa,” in front of a 28% think the situation is caused “by the fall the price of oil,” according to a survey by the company CEDATOS closed to 31 January 2016.

Until December, a majority (33%) attributed the crisis to the collapse of oil on international markets, 29% blaming Correa. But perceptions began to change from October. Another of the reasons given, “the global economic crisis”, between 21 and 23%, although a few tenths in October was above the trend blames Correa.

Between 5% and 7%attributed the responsibility for the crisis to dollarization. And even that trend is downward. (I)
