According to Clarin newspaper, Pope Francis will go to Argentina
Pope Francis plans to travel to Argentina during the first half of the month of December. The visit will also include other regions of Latin America such as Chile and Uruguay, reported yesterday the newspaper Clarin, through a note which quoted “high Church sources”.
However, according to the tabloid is very precipitate to say which parts of the country will Francis be visiting.
The note also indicated that initially it was thought that the pontiff would visit Argentina in the middle of this year, but due to the coincidence with the campaign for the legislative elections of October and the meeting of Catholic Youth in Brazil, his visit was postponed.
For his part, Federico Lombardi, the Vatican spokesman, only confirmed the visit of the Pope Francis to Rio de Janeiro to preside the World Youth Day (WYD)
“I neither announce nor confirm other trips of Pope Francisco to Latin America,” said Lombardi referring to an unforeseen trip of the Pope to Argentina.
